From the elegantly lascivious rhythms of Baião that underpin the original to the pungently luscious Disco drive that animates Renato Cohen’s version, the core idea of a musical image that could illustrate this fundamentally human reality of minds and desires encountering to create something anew remains, if not the same, slightly enhanced in diverse and complementary ways. The first single from the collection of remixes fr tracks of the album “Cristal” brings us the meeting of visions of two veterans of the São Paulo scene that followed different paths throughout their creative careers, pursuing distinct aesthetic choices in a city that offers a labyrinth of paths, only to find each other in this new reality. More than a synthesis, this is but one of many chromatic possibilities and the first off the Prisma EP.
